Dads Try Ballet with Their Daughters For Valentine's Day

The Philadelphia Dance Center had some unusual attendees in their kids’ ballet class on Valentine's Day.

Thom McIntyre, owner and artistic director of the dance studio in Philadelphia, invited both the moms and dads of each ballet student to try out the dance classes for themselves. The moms were assigned to hip hop classes while the dads tried out ballet. Some parents even had to attend multiple classes ranging from beginners to advanced because they had more than one kid enrolled in the classes.

Some dads went the whole nine yards and fully committed to the ballet classes, wearing tutus and leotards to the rehearsals. Overall though, the classes seemed to be very immersive for the parents. It gave them a better perspective of the hard work that goes into various dance practices rather than just sitting and watching. Not only did this prove to be a good form of exercise for mom and dad, but it also provided their kids a memory to look back on and laugh at from time to time.

How cute are these daddy-mommy dancers?
