It's that time of year again. Amazon Prime Day is back on July 10th for its third year, running from 6pm - 12am PST. This means 30 hours of exclusive deals for Amazon Prime members, but that's only the beginning. Amazon Prime Day is a big monster to tackle, but here's a few tips on how to navigate the most hyped up shopping day of the year.

1. Sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime.

The first step is to make sure you're actually subscribed to Amazon Prime. If you've never signed up for Prime and you only want to check out Amazon for Prime Day, then sign up for a 30-day trial which will give you access to all of July 11th's exclusive deals.

2. Look out for early release deals everyday.

Amazon staggers their deals starting July 5th. Here's a schedule of their release (each with its own theme):

July 5: Voice shopping deals (requires users to own an Alexa device)

July 6: Amazon Music deals (The top deal: four months of Amazon Music Unlimited for $0.99/month)

July 7: Prime Video deals

July 8: Everyday Essentials deals

July 9: Prime Reading deals (including a sneak peek into Prime Day deals)

July 10: Prime Day starts at 6pm PST.

July 11: Amazon releases hundreds of new deals every few minutes.

3. Download the Amazon app to follow prices as they start dropping.

If you look up "Today's Deals" on the Amazon app, then tap "Upcoming," you can view the products going on sale then hit "Watch this deal," which will notify you when the deal is starting.

4. Be quick with Lightning Deals.

Amazon's Lightning Deals are items only available for a short amount of time. There's limited inventory on these items, so the key is to snatch them up before they're gone. In the event your item is "100% claimed," you have an opportunity to join the waitlist, which gives you a chance to snag some of the better deals available on Prime Day.

Many news outlets will be updating with the best deals arriving each day, so keep a look out.

Happy shopping!
