Starting Wednesday, March 7, overnight roadwork will begin on the I-5 Freeway towards Santa Ana leaving one lane open during the time of construction. This roadwork may or may not lead into the AM during the morning commute.Besides the I-5, roadwork will also take place overnight this week on the Long Beach 710 Freeway near East LA and the Riverside 91 Freeway in Orange County.
Beginning at 9PM, every Wednesday and Friday there will be only one lane open both directions. Construction should stop at 5AM Thursdays, however, on Fridays, work will go on until 8AM, and 10AM on Saturdays.
The construction will be due to a $1.7 million renovation of 60-year-old concrete that will be taken out and replaced.
