If you've been following the Olympics, you've seen pictures of all the stray dogs around Sochi. Many Americans are asking how they can take home one of the animals, and people back home are trying to find out if they can adopt a Russian dog.
The Humane Society International says, yes, you can. It will be far easier if you are already there. You'll have to contact one of the large animal shelters that have been built near the city, then have a vet certify that it's healthy and has its immunizations.
The plane ride to the USA typically costs $125-$200 in the cargo hold. They say this process is more difficult if you're not there. See the Humane Society link for more info!

I've worked in radio for 27 years, and this is definitely the coolest, best job ever! Afternoons at KOST in LA is a dream come true for me!
My wife Lisa and I have a 14 year old boy named Jackson and an 11 year old girl named Lauren. Jackson's a sweet, smart kid who loves computers and playing his cello. Lauren may seem shy, but ask her about animals, especially West Highland White Terriers, and she'll talk your fluffy little ears off! She's started ice skating lessons and is doing great!
Friday night is our family "Star Trek and pizza night," and we like to go for hikes and bike rides.
