Are you single or married? Single
How many children do you have?none
Do you own a pet? Nope, but I've had several in the past...and somedayI'll have a Yorkie = )
Hobbies? ummm...I'm a girl so naturally SHOPPING hahaha.Writing, dancing, checking out new music, watching new movies, trying new restaurants, going to UCLA Bruin events, having movie nights, artsy stuff, going to the gym whenI get a chance, spending time with my family and friends, and my recently discovered love...traveling = )
Favorite Color? hmmm...I can't choose just one.
Favorite Sport? to watch on TV...Basketball. To play or watchlive on a beautiful summer day...Baseball.BUT, I think my favorite sporting event is the World Cup or the Olympics. Go World!
Favorite book? "The Great Gatsby,""The Strange Case of Dr Jekyl and Mr. Hyde,"and I really loved the moral lessons of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein." Currently I'm working on "Love in Time of Cholera."
First appearance on KOST?February 6, 2006
What was your first radio job? I interned for a morning show, and I got to go to many red carpet events, so I LOVED it.
What was the worst job you ever had? hmm...this is a tough one. I think I've liked all my jobs, but some have been harder than others. I think the toughest was charging for parking at the Orange Blossom Festival in Riverside. We had to flag people to come to our lots and charge them, all under the heat of the 90 degreessun...and did I mention I forgot the sunblock? Yeah, not pretty. The second hardest was probably being a telemarketer. I had tons of people yell at me and hang up. I don't blame them, but hey it was my job to interrupt their dinner hehe
Most embarrassing on-air moment?I'm not sure that this ever aired, but messing up a realitystar's name...his last name was Fairplay and well I said something else ; ) Oh and also interviewing Carmen Electra and calling her Jenny McCarthy oops! But the worst was last year when Mark & Kim revealed that I had a crush on my personal trainer...on the air...and while he was on the phone! I don't think I've ever blushed that much.
Best experience in radio? Meeting some of my closest friends, tons of celebrities and our wonderful listeners. And hearing myself on the air for the VERY first time...I was like "Oh my gosh...that's me!"
If you weren't in radio, what would you be doing?I would be a broadcast journalist, an actress, a writer, a lawyer, a stylist, a PR person or a school counselor.
What advice would you give to anyone who would like to get into the business? I would say intern, intern, intern.Work VERY HARD, be persistent, network, and be willing to make sacrifices.
Best artist you met/interviewed?
WOW this is tough...I've met lots of cool people, but I was SUPER excited to meet Steve Martin because he's AMAZING. As a 90's kid meeting Bob Saget from "Full House," and Scott Baio from "Charles in Charge" was a big deal. I alsoprobably earned major cool girl points for scoring a sit-down interview with Matthew McConaughey ;) Still, the ULTIMATE COOLEST person I've met has to be JOHN TRAVOLTA!

The wedding is 2 weeks away and I am OFFICIALLY DONE with wedding planning! YAY! From now until the wedding, I’m just coasting along and enjoying the ride. Now that the
guest list is in and the seating charts finalized, all I have left to do is prep for the honeymoon! It’s my favorite! Not for the reasons you’re thinking but because of my passion for travel. Seriously, I live for travel, and thankfully Gerard shares that passion. We both are a little crazy about how we plan our travel too! Gerard is obsessed with airline points and hotel loyalty rewards programs. I, on the other hand, am obsessed with packing and doing my research. First of all, my packing is out of control! I make a list of every single little thing in my suitcase…EVERYTHING…that way I don’t lose anything. Second my research is INTENSE! I go online and read about destinations as much as I can. Some of my favorite sites to visit before traveling are Lonely Planet, Trip Advisor, and Webflakes.
Here’s why I like these…
LonelyPlanet.com—They’ve been everywhere in the world, I think. Most importantly their guides are probably the most in depth and complete guides out there.
TripAdvisor.com—I don’t stay anywhere before checking it out on TripAdvisor. It’s the ebst way to get the full scoop on a hotel or business. You don’t just see the hotel’s PR pictures, but you actually see real guest vacation pictures alogn with real guest reviews.
Webflakes.com—is a new travel/lifestyle site that features
posts from top bloggers around the world that you normally wouldn't have access to because of language barriers and translates their posts into English with the help of volunteer translators. Imagine reading a review on the perfect Parisian cafe, written by an actual Parisian? It doen't get more REAL than that. The site offers an authentic point of view from the countries we all dream of visiting. You can read about the latest in travel, fashion, food, wine, and design straight from over 70 top bloggers from countries such as France, Italy, Japan, Switzerland and Peru. It also has a great charity angle! For every article translated by their community of volunteer translators, Webflakes makes a donation to a great list of global charities including the Rainforest Alliance,
CARE, Doctors without Borders, Pencils of Promise, etc. I love it!
So, I have now given you my travel tips. Do you have some for me? We are going to Kauai and The Big Island in Hawaii. Have you been there? If so, are there any places you recommend? Any musts? Leave me a comment below with your tips, they will be greatly appreciated XO!
We are 52 days away from our big day and our invitations have finally been mailed. Two words...TRAVEL THEME!!! You know I how I love to travel lol. Anyway, I'm so excited to have our guests get these in the mail. Our wedding coordinator Christine Zohrabians of Fancy That Events put us in touch with some awesome invitation designers and we worked very hard on these puppies. Hope our hard work pays off =)
By the way, the amazing calligraphy is by the incredible Katrina Calligraphy. You made our invitation dreams come true Katrina!!! Thank You XOXOXO!!!
Usually, I'm all about L.A. Today the only city I have on my mind is Moore, Oklahoma. This video gives us just a tiny peek at what happened yesterday to the people of Oklahoma. May God bless them with all the strength and faith they need to get through this devastation.
