What was your first radio job? I interned for a morning show, and I got to go to many red carpet events, so I LOVED it.
What was the worst job you ever had? hmm...this is a tough one. I think I've liked all my jobs, but some have been harder than others. I think the toughest was charging for parking at the Orange Blossom Festival in Riverside. We had to flag people to come to our lots and charge them, all under the heat of the 90 degreessun...and did I mention I forgot the sunblock? Yeah, not pretty. The second hardest was probably being a telemarketer. I had tons of people yell at me and hang up. I don't blame them, but hey it was my job to interrupt their dinner hehe
Most embarrassing on-air moment?I'm not sure that this ever aired, but messing up a realitystar's name...his last name was Fairplay and well I said something else ; ) Oh and also interviewing Carmen Electra and calling her Jenny McCarthy oops! But the worst was last year when Mark & Kim revealed that I had a crush on my personal trainer...on the air...and while he was on the phone! I don't think I've ever blushed that much.
Best experience in radio? Meeting some of my closest friends, tons of celebrities and our wonderful listeners. And hearing myself on the air for the VERY first time...I was like "Oh my gosh...that's me!"
If you weren't in radio, what would you be doing?I would be a broadcast journalist, an actress, a writer, a lawyer, a stylist, a PR person or a school counselor.
What advice would you give to anyone who would like to get into the business? I would say intern, intern, intern.Work VERY HARD, be persistent, network, and be willing to make sacrifices.
Best artist you met/interviewed?
WOW this is tough...I've met lots of cool people, but I was SUPER excited to meet Steve Martin because he's AMAZING. As a 90's kid meeting Bob Saget from "Full House," and Scott Baio from "Charles in Charge" was a big deal. I alsoprobably earned major cool girl points for scoring a sit-down interview with Matthew McConaughey ;) Still, the ULTIMATE COOLEST person I've met has to be JOHN TRAVOLTA!
One of my favorite travel/food writers is Anthony Bourdain. Years ago, I was on the same flight to Barcelona as him and I instantly became a FAN! Anyway, I was sad when I heard that his show "No Reservations," on the Travel Channel was coming to an end...only to later be filled with excitement when I heard he was starting a whole new show on CNN. His new show is called "Parts Unknown" it airs Sundays at 9pm on CNN. This past Sunday guess where he traveled to? Our very own Koreatown here in L.A.! Yep, he explored the streets and delicious food of Koreatown. And guess who showed him around L.A.? Kogi Chef Roy Choi!!! It was AWESOME!!! Did you watch it? If you missed it here's a clip. Enjoy!
Here's a map of all the places Bourdain visited during his stay in L.A. Make a note of them!

Every year Gerard and I take advantage of the "birthday coupon" at Benihana. This year was no different. Gerard loves that annual hibachi treat haha. However, our experience was even better this year. VINCE VAUGHN was sitting right across from us in the next table!!! I could not believe my eyes. I looooooove that guy. He is a riot. I first discovered him in "Swingers," then "Old School" and so on.
Anyway, I'm not the type to go up to a celebrity and ask for a picture or autograph when they're hanging with their family or friends. So I just observed him throughout the night. Here's what I loved about him. First, he goes to Benihana. Second, because he goes to Benihana he knows the setup and was fully aware that he would be sharing a table with regular folks. Third, not only was he willing to sit with regular joes but he actually mingled with them. You should have seen him telling jokes and talking to these other girls at his table. Lastly, he seemed very polite with the servers.
Now about him. He is HUGE! He looked almost too tall for his chair haha But totally cute. Oh and he IS ACTUALLY loud the way he is in his movies. The whole night I just kept hearing his voice over everyboday else's. It was hilarious!
The one thing I was bummed about was that he didn't actually join us in singing happy birthday to Gerard hahaha that would've been awesome! Still, we had a great time =)
Sure Spring officially started March 20th, but look outside...it's pretty gloomy. You thought you could wear a sun dress and strappy sandals for Easter but mother nature rained on your parade. Me too! I had the perfect outfit picked out, until I looked out the window. But you know what they say "there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad wardrobe choices." So I put my best foot forward and weathered the storm in my new Cognac JustFab Emmy Boots. I paired them with black leggings, a scarf, a royal blue sweater, and matching handbag. I felt comfortable and dressed for the occasion. A hint of color, warm, and the cognac shade of my boots didn't make it feel like winter at all.
Here's another way to pair these...
For more info on the JustFab Emmy boots log on to www.justfab.com. A small word to the wise...be careful the first time you wear your Emmy Boots. They tend to be a little slippery, but after a couple of uses you'll be just fine. More importantly, when it comes to fashion, I say make your own rules and be fab! Plus, there is no rule that says you can't wear boots in the Spring, especially if they're a lighter tone... after all we're now entering April so there will be plenty of showers before May flowers.
Thanks for the fab boots Kimora!
The girls and I went shopping for bridesmaids dresses on Saturday! Look who kept me company! My friend Sarah's baby, Asher James! I ADORE him. We hung out in the waiting area while the girls tried on dresses. Check out his little legs...aren't they to die for!?!?!?
