The rover Opportunity celebrated its 9th anniversary on Mars this week! Well actually IT didn't celebrate, but its controllers back on Earth over at JPL in Pasadena did. It was hoped it would last for 3 months, but it's still driving around Mars 9 years later! (It's twin, Spirit stopped working a couple years ago.) It just keeps going, long after you figure it should have conked out, just like Judge Judy.
