Since my family is still back in Indiana, I have a lot of time on my hands! Wednesday morning I went to see Jennifer Aniston get her star on the Walk of Fame! I'm a big Friends fan, and was hoping some of the other stars would show up to honor Jennifer.

I got there early enough to get a good spot. Nice clear view, right? Except for that palm tree, but I could look around that. Then the photographers started showing up. Hundreds of them, all identical, bored looking middle-aged men in baggy jeans and tee-shirts. When they filled up the press bleachers, and still kept coming all the fans knew we were in trouble. When a big, beefy photographer set up his giant video camera DIRECTLY in front of us, a "BOOO" went up from the crowd. I joined in! He didn't care, and they kept on coming.

Jennifer and other guests showed up on time, and those of us in the crowd were occasionally able to get a glimpse of her behind the solid wall of photographers. Adam Sandler was there, but I don't think there were any Friends" cast members. A couple people spoke. I'm embarassed here, but I think they were actress friends of Jennifer. Then Adam Sandler gave a very funny speech. He wore what he said was his "best tee-shrt" and spoke in his strange, gravely character voice" I could kinda see him.

Then Jen spoke, pretty, humble and charming as always. Just like you expect her to be. She said she'd found Adam Sandler's gum, and was going to sell it on ebay. She unveiled her star, unseen by the crowd, surrounded by the Photographer Wall, then posed for pictures with her dad and friends.

She graciously walked over to the crowd and posed for a few pictures. She got a few feet from me, but was, as always completely surrounded by the tee-shirted camera guys.
