My kids love to read. I'm proud of them. Even the 1 yr old who holds the book upsidedown & just pretends.

We read 2 stories every night before bed. My daughter always wants more, & sometimes I give in. This morning, I've decided to do the same with you! I may not be tucking you in, sorry. But every Tuesday I promise to list a book for reading & sharing, skimming, gifting, or stacking next to the bed for reading when you finally have time [At least read the 1st chapter? Might chose it over sleep for one night. Never know..]

I do know that after having 2 babies in 4 years, I just can't live any longer without reading MY books! I LOVE BOOKS! Maybe it was having a school-teacher for a mother. Both my parents have advanced college degrees. They were sure to introduce me to stories at a young age.. Thanks to Mom, I have detailed memories of story-time at the Glendale library. The warm smell of paper & a little dust. The industrial grey carpet on the stairs. My favorite corner on the landing, by the tall window where I could sit on the floor & see the trees out front. It was quiet. I could think & sit with myself & escape into a book when I wanted. It was an early & important relationship for me.

So from now on, on Tuesdays, I will promise a New Year's Resolution type of oath to make time to bring a familliar friend back for that little girl who always had time for another story.

Here is an easy, interesting, stat-filled litte jobbie that I like because it's current, topical, & totally facinating. I encourage it for your NOOK. ♥ @KristinCruz
