So here we are heading to The El Cap in Hollywood when I realize, from being an LA vet, that the Oscars have landed! That means .. hella traffic off the 101 fwy for a week. And, good luck getting a hotel room, dinner reservation, or fancy hair appointment. If you get a nail appointment, you will see a famous person (last year I saw Octavia Spencer at my place, right before she won her Oscar! She may go someplace fancier now LOL) And, during Oscar week, when driving BH to WeHo & back, be prepaired to feel festive-- as in Christmastime, because it's all read lights till March!

I think this week it'd be fun to dive into Moms on the red carpet. Trends I'm seeing (are you?) And what we can all do to look red carpet ready, even if the only red carpet we're going to see is our livingroom rug with spilled fruit punch on it. 

Right now I'm heading off to my Studio City salon for a manicure, & under-the-radar salon to do my roots. This nail place always knows what colours are trending. Young rich teens, who are influenced by the Kardashians, and hollywood actresses on the fringe but still "in the know".

So what will I be getting for the Oscars? I'll be getting the usual (boring) buff-shine, in fine mom-fashion. But I'll keep an eye out for what's up and what I betcha we'll see this weekend in Hollywood! Besides the traffic I mean.
