Happy 2012 to us!

Wow the Season of traditions is over.. takign doent hte decorations & throwing our the leftovers is a sad task. But we begin the new year, new resolutions, and maybe try some new things? Here I've got a suggestion that rolls all of that up in one tastey bowl of southern hospitality.

My husband, "Fireman Matt", grew up in Pasadena, but his parents welcomed in the New Year with a meal of black eyed peas, which is a Southern tradition! The dish represents a year to come of lluck & prosperity. And, every new year in SoCal meant watching the Rose Parade on KTLA5 and enjoying Melanie's homemade peas.
