On this Sunday's show we talk with Piper Close, vice president marketing and public relations for local blood bank LifeStream. Piper discusses the importance of being a blood donor, how the process works, the critical need for different types of blood and how often you can donate. Piper shares how blood shortages affect our community and she'll tell you details about the upcoming event in Pasadena that will be promoting healthy living and accepting blood donations. This blood drive is Valentine's Day, February 14th at Ralphs market. 160 N. Lake Avenue and it's from 10am to 3pm. Lovesongs on the Kost host Karen Sharp will be there from 11am to 1pm.
