My dear friend Neil Maiers is riding for his friends who lost their son to cancer. Our interview and the story behind why he is training to ride from San Fransico to LA here: Neil Maiers and Kristin Cruz
While cancer remains the No. 1 cause of disease-related death for children, 80 percent of children who contract childhood cancer can survive. With your donations and help, we can research and fight against this killer, that is taking our children.
I've been touched by Pablo's story, and I hope you will share it by clicking the link above for your Facebook page. We share pictures of what we ate for lunch. We share silly pictures of kittens & puppies. I would love it if you would share this today.
This month I hope to bring more awareness as it is Childhood Cancer Awareness in September. Childhood cancer awareness advocates are pushing the color gold to represent their cause. Gold: the New Pink, is a movement designed to raise the stature of childhood cancer to match breast cancer in the public’s mind. Whatever you can do to show your support, or give a contribution, or paticipate in an event, I thank you ahead of time for caring about this cause and sharing this important message.

Being active online and on the ground are 2 things all our kids have figured out how to do. But these are a few things I've found that we can do together, as a family this Fall, and really enjoy it. Beyond the Holidays (gulp!), we can start having fun and giving-back before it all gets too crazy. I have specialists, event coordinators, social media experts, and momprenuers helping us do just that..

I want to thank Nikki Hernandez from http://www.wam5k.com/ for stopping by and getting us ready to walk! More info on The Mark & Kristin Morning Show Blog (Yes, she is related to Rodrigo our producer. For real, she is!) And you'll hear us talking about her this week on our show.
Please find out how you can help raise awareness, raise funds and get walking to fight Melanoma next weekend right here in LA.
I met Alica Jones a while back at a blogging conference. She told me about a movement in SoCal that she had fallen in-love with & as soon as she explained it to me, I knew I had to share with you. Are you in the "business"? Are you a movie buff? Or are you one of millions of us that went to a drive-in movie and can still remember everything about it. Memories may be all we have soon. The Drive-in may be extinct forever.
Fall is here! It's about time for Pumkin Patches, AYSO, Halloween Costume shopping and all that good stuff. Which also means it's time for back-to-school (homework), lots of candy (sugar highs and lows!), new bedtimes ("Falling back") and really busy weekends.
When these times arise, I call on my mom-help and I'm always sharing what and who helps me out, with you here on The Sunday Journal.
Baby Gizmo founder Hollie Schultz has tips for making a succesful transition from Summer to Autumn with the fewest casualties. She's got us geared-up with the right school EQ, eco-friendly holiday ideas, and lists what the trend will be on Christmas lists (Don't fight it. Xmas will be here in the blink of an eye, and this could be the year you were actually done shopping ahead of time.) So a little help.. Let's do this!
Coming next is The Fall Family Fest & more safety, baby care, and product events from Club Momme. I have Rachel Pitzel from MomMe Must Haves & Club MomMe Founding MomMe, helps paint the picture of a an inviting Holiday-time, with wonderful resources she makes available to us this season. Check back for more!
