I can almost feel it. Baseball season is just around the corner. Have I mentioned that baseball is my favorite sport? I played my first Little League game at eight years-old and continued to play until I got to college and suddenly fell in love with radio and TV broadcasting.

My father grew up in Ohio. Although it was closer to Cincinnati than Cleveland, he was an American League fan. Once we moved out west to California, the Angels became our team. In fact, for many years, I spent every Spring Break in Palm Springs watching the Angels get ready for another baseball season.

Do you enjoy watching a baseball game? I'd rather be playing, but as the song "Boys of Summer" proclaimed, it's a sport for men a bit younger than me. I still love going to the ballpark. I’ve even see games in Chicago, St. Louis and Baltimore. But, the cost of a baseball ticket has certainly changed from my youth.

If you think about it, it's a mystery what your ticket has purchased until after the game has been played. I've watched many record setting performances (both the Angels and Dodgers) and look forward to another great year of baseball in 2013. How about you?
