So I wanted to make a healthier meatloaf and add some spice to it and this is what I managed to come up with. The best part of making this dish was watching my boyfriends face light up and he wolfed it down! It was so delicious!!!
What you will need
1 cup of onion chopped
1 jalepeno chopped
2 minced cloves of garlic
1 1/4 pounds of ground turkey
1/2 cup of PLAIN breadcrumbs
1/4 egg substitute (I make with egg whites so its healthier, if you want to use real egg use 1 egg.)
2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 packet of onion soup mix
1 small can of plain tomatoe sauce
olive oil
Sweet Baby Rays Spicey and sweet BBQ Sauce
Ketchup
Instructions
1-Place the chopped onion, jalepenos and minced garlic into a hot pan with a little olive oil and sautee until light golden brown, once this is done let this sit for about 5 minutes
2-place the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, 1/2 can of your tomatoe sauce, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce, 1/2 the packet of the onion soup mix, the eggs, jalepeno, onions and garlic into a large bowl and mix together thoroughly (ladies, get your hands dirty for this one)

3-fit your mixture into a 8x4 inch loaf pan

4-coat the top with the bbq sauce and ketchup
5-place in oven on 350 for 55 minutes (the middle should be at 165 degrees when done)
6-let it stand about 3-5 minutes before serving.

Enjoy!
