Americans are driving more these day. It' also a lot easier to get distracted behind the wheel given how prevalent technology is in our everyday lives.
Think about it... some cars these days basically have a full on computer screen on the dash instead of a plain old radio.
The National Academy of Sciences determined the five distractions that are the most dangerous when driving. Here's their list from the worst to the very worst:
1) Operating the car radio
2) Using a touch-screen menu
3) Texting and driving
4) Reaching for an object
5) Dialing a 10-digit phone number
