Today is âDia De Los Muertosâ, it means âDay of the deadâ and it's being celebrated here in LA, as well as in Mexico. There are beautiful alters at Grand Park outside of LA City Hall and Olvera Street has festivities all day long! While youâre down there, grab an order of those fresh taquitos at âCielito Lindoâ â Olveraâs Street famous taquitos.
Todayâs Google Doodle even honored the special day with this:
Speaking of Dia De Los Muertos, Disney-Pixar's newest creation brings this animated film, "Coco" out to theaters. This past weekend in Mexico and the audience can't stop bawling their eyes out over it! It comes out in the US, three weeks from today, on November 22nd - Thanksgiving Day!
The movie was released just in time for the massive DÃa de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations that are about to begin across Mexico's cemeteries.
As for the United States we won't be able to see the film until November 22nd, but from everyone's reactions so far the wait will be worth it!
Mexicans are using the hashtag #CocoLaPelicula to praise directors Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina on their work.
They wanted to bring attention to the emotional impact the film left on them.
