Hungry Woodpecker Caught Repeatedly Ringing Doorbell

A woodpecker drilling its beak into a tree in search of a delicious meal is common, but what's quite unusual is when one takes interest in your doorbell instead.

This woodpecker was caught on camera using its beak to ring the doorbell repeatedly, possibly because he was hoping there was a meal inside.

It seemed that no one ever answered the door for the woodpecker, and he was left hungry.

In a similar situation, a woman in North Carolina was seem on Ring video ringing a doorbell to get help with a woodpecker tangled in her hair.

Another woodpecker in Tennessee caused such a crack in the doorbell that the owner posted on Facebook, “looking for suggestions for a woodpecker-proof doorbell.”

Apparently bears seem to do it as well, tapping at the doorbell, and becoming grumpy when they get no response.

One bear in New Jersey trespassed by walking right into one resident’s house without ringing the doorbell. At least he was polite and closed the door when asked.
